In 2020-2021, 8,294 people earned their degree in animal science, making the major the 92nd most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, animal science graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $30,680 and had an average of $21,798 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southwest region, there were 1,383 animal science graduates with average earnings and debt of $29,924 and $22,138 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Animal Science” ranking looked at 13 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in animal science. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality animal science programs as well as strong veteran support.

This large school is located in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and it awarded 224 ’s animal science degrees in 2020-2021.

OSU not only placed well in this ranking. Located in Stephenville, Texas, this fairly large public school handed out 133 degrees to qualified ’s animal science students in 2020-2021.
