It’s not easy to decide which college to attend when there so many options available for students. Our “Best Value CompSci Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking is part of that endeavor.

Computer Science is the 12th most popular major in the country with 59,565 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, computer science graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $67,538 and had an average of $23,620 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 7,865 computer science graduates with average earnings and debt of $59,947 and $23,759 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value CompSci Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking looked at 74 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in computer science. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality computer science programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.
