Construction Trades is the 34th most popular major in the country with 35,794 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, construction trades graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $38,184 and had an average of $11,556 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southwest region, there were 3,199 construction trades graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,077 and $12,389 respectively.

Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent construction trades programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.

Out of the 2 schools in the Most Veteran Friendly in the Southwest Region for Construction Trades that were part of this year’s ranking, The University of Texas at San Antonio landed the #1 spot on the list. The University of Texas at San Antonio is a large public school situated in San Antonio, Texas. It awarded 69 ’s construction trades degrees in 2020-2021.

Located in Tucson, Arizona, this fairly large public school awarded 59 degrees to qualified ’s construction trades students in 2020-2021.
