Best Special Education Schools for Non-Traditional Students
Southern Connecticut State University has taken the #1 spot in this year's special education ranking for non-traditional students. Located in the midsize city of New Haven, SCSU is a public school with a medium-sized student population. SCSU did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #3 on our Best Colleges for Special Education in the New England Region list.
About 2.7% of SCSU students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. There are approximately 4,172 students at SCSU that take at least one class online. About 2,335 of the students at SCSU are attending part time.
Full Special Education at Southern Connecticut State University Report
The #2 spot in this year's ranking belongs to Westfield State University. Located in the suburb of Westfield, Westfield is a public college with a small student population. Westfield also made our Best Colleges for Special Education in the New England Region list, coming in at #4.
About 1.3% of Westfield students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. There are approximately 2,052 students at Westfield that take at least one class online. There are roughly 1,138 part time students in attendance at Westfield.

Rhode Island College comes in at #3 in this year's ranking. RIC is a medium-sized public school located in the large suburb of Providence. RIC not only placed well in our non-traditional rankings. It is also #6 on our Best Colleges for Special Education in the New England Region list.
About 3.0% of RIC students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. There are approximately 3,583 students at RIC that take at least one class online. 2,015 of RIC students are attending part time.

Bridgewater State University landed the #4 spot in our 2021 best special education schools for non-traditional students. Bridgewater State is a medium-sized public school located in the suburb of Bridgewater. Bridgewater State also made our Best Colleges for Special Education in the New England Region list, coming in at #5.

UHart not only placed well in our non-traditional rankings. It is also #7 on our Best Colleges for Special Education in the New England Region list.
About 2.3% of UHart students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. 1,149 of UHart students are exclusively distance learners. There are roughly 1,552 part time students in attendance at UHart.
