In 2020-2021, 198,468 engineering students received their degree, making the major the 7th most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, engineering graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $68,653 and had an average of $23,855 in loans still to pay off.

Across the New England region, there were 13,976 engineering graduates with average earnings and debt of $72,558 and $24,782 respectively.

This year’s “Schools Highly Focused on Engineering Major in the New England Region” ranking looked at 83 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in engineering. This a ranking of the schools where the largest percentage of students has enrolled in engineering.
