In 2020-2021, 977,800 health professions students received their degree, making the major the 2nd most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, health professions graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $47,927 and had an average of $20,846 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 250,124 health professions graduates with average earnings and debt of $44,702 and $20,498 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value Health Professions Schools in the Southeast Region” ranking analyzed 550 colleges that offered a degree in health professions. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great health professions programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
