Applied Mathematics is the 78th most popular major in the country with 11,107 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, applied mathematics graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $59,929 and had an average of $21,348 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 1,371 applied mathematics graduates with average earnings and debt of $65,325 and $21,281 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Southeast Region for Applied Math” ranking analyzed 17 colleges that offered a degree in applied mathematics. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent applied mathematics programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
