University of Michigan - Ann Arbor tops this year’s ranking as the best school for Dutch students in the Great Lakes Region. Ann Arbor, Michigan is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out bachelor’s degrees to 9,144 students in 2020-2021.

Around 13.9% of the total student population at the school is international. Students studying at U-M come from such countries as China, India, and South Korea.

The school has an excellent freshman retention rate of 96%, which means students like the school well enough to return for a second year.

Out of the 15 schools in the Great Lakes Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Chicago landed the #2 spot on the list. UChicago is located in Chicago, Illinois and, has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 2,163 bachelor’s degrees to qualified undergraduates.

Around 26.6% of the total student population at the school is international. Students from as far away as China, India, and South Korea come to UChicago to study.

The student-to-faculty ratio of 5 to 1 is a sign that students will have more opportunities to engage with their professors one-on-one.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Northwestern University. The school came in at #3 in this year’s ranking. Evanston, Illinois is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out bachelor’s degrees to 2,722 students in 2020-2021.

Around 16.3% of the total student population at the school is international. Students studying at Northwestern come from such countries as China, India, and South Korea.

IU Bloomington is located in Bloomington, Indiana and, has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 7,959 bachelor’s degrees to qualified undergraduates.

With a ranking of #6, Ohio State University - Main Campus did quite well on the 2021 Best Colleges for Dutch Students in the Great Lakes Region. Columbus, Ohio is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out bachelor’s degrees to 12,018 students in 2020-2021.

Around 9.1% of the total student population at the school is international. Students from as far away as China, India, and South Korea come to Ohio State to study.

With a freshman retention rate of 94%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its students.

Valparaiso University ranked #7 on this year’s Best Colleges for Dutch Students in the Great Lakes Region list. Located in Valparaiso, Indiana, the small private not-for-profit school handed out 795 bachelor’s degrees in 2020-2021.

Of the total number of students at the school, 4.2% are international. The top three countries sending students to study at Valpo are India, China, and Saudi Arabia.

University of Wisconsin - Madison did quite well in the 2021 Best Colleges for Dutch Students in the Great Lakes Region ranking, coming in at #8. Located in Madison, Wisconsin, the large public school handed out 9,926 bachelor’s degrees in 2020-2021.

Around 13.2% of the total student population at the school is international. Students from as far away as China, India, and South Korea come to UW - Madison to study.

With a freshman retention rate of 95%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its students.

Earlham College did quite well in the 2021 Best Colleges for Dutch Students in the Great Lakes Region ranking, coming in at #9. Located in Richmond, Indiana, the small private not-for-profit school awarded 230 diplomas to qualified bachelor’s degree students in 2020-2021.

Of the total number of students at the school, 18.5% are international. Students from as far away as Vietnam, China, and Nepal come to Earlham to study.
