Fencing is a traditional sport offered at select colleges throughout the U.S., including some Ivy League colleges. Many schools have men's and women's teams, but some colleges offer women's only teams.
Due to the relatively small amount of colleges that offer fencing, all divisions compete against one another, and club teams frequently participate in collegiate tournaments. Since 1990, the NCAA college fencing team championship has been co-ed, with men's and women's squads from each team competing against each other.
