Information Science is the 58th most popular major in the country with 18,325 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, information science graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $59,394 and had an average of $28,852 in loans still to pay off.

Across Virginia, there were 543 information science graduates with average earnings and debt of $59,519 and $37,450 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Virginia for IS” ranking analyzed 8 colleges that offered a degree in information science. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality information science programs as well as strong veteran support.
