When it comes to choosing a college, veterans have a lot of options - but not all of them are good. College Factual was founded, in part, to help students make the decision as to what would be the best school for them. Our “Most Veteran Friendly in Virginia for IS” ranking is part of that endeavor.
Information Science is the 58th most popular major in the country with 18,325 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, information science graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $59,394 and had an average of $28,852 in loans still to pay off.
Across Virginia, there were 543 information science graduates with average earnings and debt of $59,519 and $37,450 respectively.
This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in Virginia for IS” ranking analyzed 8 colleges that offered a degree in information science. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality information science programs as well as strong veteran support.
