Teacher Education Subject Specific is the 22nd most popular major in the country with 43,297 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, teacher education subject specific graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $42,245 and had an average of $24,696 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 8,830 teacher education subject specific graduates with average earnings and debt of $48,767 and $25,372 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Middle Atlantic Region for Subject Specific Ed” ranking, we looked at 127 colleges that offer a degree in teacher education subject specific. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality teacher education subject specific programs as well as strong veteran support.
