Teacher Education Subject Specific is the 22nd most popular major in the country with 43,297 degrees awarded in 2020-2021. In 2019-2020, teacher education subject specific graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $42,245 and had an average of $24,696 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Plains States region, there were 4,892 teacher education subject specific graduates with average earnings and debt of $41,001 and $24,858 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Plains States Region for Subject Specific Ed” ranking analyzed 104 colleges that offered a degree in teacher education subject specific. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent teacher education subject specific programs, but they also offer a lot of support to veterans and active service members.
