Northeastern is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the large city of Boston. Northeastern did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #4 on our Best Colleges for Engineering in the New England Region list.

About 0.5% of Northeastern students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. There are approximately 7,987 students at Northeastern that take at least one class online. There are roughly 1,267 part time students in attendance at Northeastern.

University of Connecticut landed the #2 spot in our 2021 best engineering schools for non-traditional students. Located in the large suburb of Storrs, UCONN is a public college with a fairly large student population. In addition to being on our best for non-traditional students list, UCONN has also earned the #5 rank in our Best Colleges for Engineering in the New England Region ranking.

The student loan default rate at UCONN is lower than is typical, just 0.9% of students default in three years. There are approximately 11,648 students at UCONN that take at least one class online. 3,257 students are part time.

The #3 spot in this year's ranking belongs to Wentworth Institute of Technology. WIT is a small private not-for-profit school located in the large city of Boston. WIT did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #9 on our Best Colleges for Engineering in the New England Region list.
