Georgia Institute of Technology - Main Campus tops the 2021 list of our schools in the Southeast Region that are best for non-traditional engineering students. Located in the city of Atlanta, Georgia Tech is a public college with a very large student population. Georgia Tech did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #1 on our Best Colleges for Engineering in the Southeast Region list.
About 0.4% of Georgia Tech students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. 19,058 students at Georgia Tech are exclusively online. About 21,273 of the students at Georgia Tech are attending part time.

The #2 spot in this year's ranking belongs to North Carolina State University. NC State is a very large public school located in the city of Raleigh. As a testament to the quality of education offered at NC State, the school also landed the #2 rank in our Best Colleges for Engineering in the Southeast Region ranking.
