You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Michigan State University. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Well Attended Wildlife Major in the Great Lakes Region list. East Lansing, Michigan is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s wildlife degrees to 64 students in 2020-2021.
With a freshman retention rate of 91%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its undergraduate students. The undergrad student loan default rate at the school is 2.6%, which is quite low when compared to the national default rate of 10.1%.
Out of the 8 schools in the Most Well Attended Wildlife Major in the Great Lakes Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Hocking College landed the #3 spot on the list. Hocking College is located in Nelsonville, Ohio and, has a small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 41 ’s wildlife degrees to qualified students.
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend University of Wisconsin - Madison. The school came in at #4 for the Most Well Attended Wildlife Major in the Great Lakes Region. Located in Madison, Wisconsin, this large public school awarded 32 diplomas to qualified ’s wildlife students in 2020-2021.
With a freshman retention rate of 95%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its undergraduate students. The low undergrad student loan default rate of 0.9% is a good sign that students have an easier time paying off their loans than they might at other schools. For comparison, the national default rate is 10.1%.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Otterbein University. It ranked #5 on our 2023 Most Well Attended Wildlife Major in the Great Lakes Region list. Westerville, Ohio is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The private not-for-profit school handed out ’s wildlife degrees to 21 students in 2020-2021.
The undergrad student loan default rate at the school is 3.6%, which is quite low when compared to the national default rate of 10.1%.

Houghton, Michigan is the setting for this medium-sized institution of higher learning. The public school handed out ’s wildlife degrees to 10 students in 2020-2021.
With a freshman retention rate of 86%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its undergraduate students. The school has an impressive undergrad student loan default rate. It’s only 1.9%, which is much lower than the national rate of 10.1%.
Zane State College ranked #7 on this year’s Most Well Attended Wildlife Major in the Great Lakes Region list. Located in Zanesville, Ohio, this small public school awarded 9 degrees to qualified ’s wildlife students in 2020-2021.
Shawnee Community College ranked #8 on this year’s Most Well Attended Wildlife Major in the Great Lakes Region list. This small school is located in Ullin, Illinois, and it awarded 0 ’s wildlife degrees in 2020-2021.
