In 2020-2021, 195,678 psychology students received their degree, making the major the 8th most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, psychology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $35,611 and had an average of $25,989 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Far Western US region, there were 47,148 psychology graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,350 and $23,219 respectively.

For this year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the Far Western US Region for Psychology” ranking, we looked at 117 colleges that offer a degree in psychology. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great psychology programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.
