When it comes to choosing a college, veterans have a lot of options - but not all of them are good. College Factual has developed its “Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Visual & Performing Arts” ranking as one item you can use to help make this decision.

In 2020-2021, 149,215 visual and performing arts students received their degree, making the major the 10th most popular in the country. In 2019-2020, visual and performing arts graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $26,700 and had an average of $25,051 in loans still to pay off.

Across the New England region, there were 9,409 visual and performing arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $27,863 and $25,521 respectively.

This year’s “Most Veteran Friendly in the New England Region for Visual & Performing Arts” ranking analyzed 57 colleges that offered a degree in visual and performing arts. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great visual and performing arts programs and a strong support system for veterans and active service members.

When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the visual and performing arts program at the school, veteran affordability, and veteran satisfaction. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.
