Georgia Institute of Technology - Main Campus tops this year’s ranking as the best school for veterans in Georgia. Located in Atlanta, Georgia, the large public school awarded 8,534 diplomas to qualified bachelor’s degree students in 2019-2020.
According to our most recent data, Georgia Tech supports 39,771 students, and 383 of those are GI Bill® students, of which 294 are Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average Post-9/11 GI Bill® award for tuition and fees at the school was $10,277. On top of their other funding sources, 2 students qualified for the Yellow Ribbon Program.
The low student loan default rate of 1.3% is a good sign that students have an easier time paying off their loans than they might at other schools. For comparison, the national default rate is 10.1%. Georgia Tech also took the #1 spot in our Best Schools in Georgia rankings.

With a ranking of #11, Mercer University did quite well on the 2021 Best Colleges for Veterans in Georgia list. Mercer University is a medium-sized private not-for-profit school located in Macon, Georgia that handed out 2,692 bachelor’s degrees in 2019-2020.

Among the 8,372 students enrolled at CSU, 885 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 494 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
