Out of all the majors we analyze each year, engineering technologies was ranked #24 in the country. In fact 5,415,716 bachelor's degrees were handed out in 2021-2022. Of those degrees, 753,263 went to students in the Middle Atlantic region of the United States.
For this year's Best Value Bachelor's Degree Colleges for Engineering Technologies in the Middle Atlantic Region ranking, we looked at 23 colleges that offer a bachelor's in engineering tech. Note that the phrase 'best value' does not mean the absolute lowest-priced. Instead, we are looking at those engineering tech schools that offer a high quality educational experience at a price lower than expected.
Average cost figures start with estimating tuition, fees, room and board, books, and other related expenses. We then subtract the average amount of financial aid that a student receives. You can use this as a gauge to estimate how much you may need to pay out of pocket to cover costs when financial aid isn't enough. Keep in mind that the net cost for you may be higher or lower, depending on your income and other factors.

Excelsior University landed the #1 spot in our 2024 rankings for best value engineering technologies schools. Located in the city of Albany, Excelsior University is a private not-for-profit school with a fairly large student population. In addition to being on our best value list, Excelsior University has also earned the #9 rank in our Best Engineering Technologies Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region ranking.
Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania comes in at #2 in this year's ranking. Located in the distant town of Slippery Rock, SRU is a public school with a medium-sized student population.
