In 2019-2020, 1,811 people earned their degree in insurance, making the major the 206th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, insurance graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $57,694 and had an average of $23,336 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Great Lakes region, there were 397 insurance graduates with average earnings and debt of $55,167 and $22,167 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 349 insurance graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,075 and $25,381 respectively.

The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great insurance programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
