Information Science is the 56th most popular major in the country with 18,368 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, information science graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $58,848 and had an average of $32,600 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 2,291 information science graduates with average earnings and debt of $55,840 and $42,406 respectively. At the doctor’s degree level specifically, there were 39 information science graduates with average earnings and debt of $71,978 and $116,300 respectively.
