You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Brigham Young University - Provo. It ranked #1 on our 2022 Best Value Math and Stats Schools for a Bachelor’s list. Located in Provo, Utah, this large private not-for-profit school awarded 1 degrees to qualified bachelors’s math and stats students in 2019-2020.
BYU also took the #5 spot in our “Best Mathematics & Statistics Bachelor’s Degree Schools” ranking. It costs about $13,322 for bachelor’s degree math and stats students per year to attend BYU.
With a freshman retention rate of 92%, the school does an excellent job of retaining its students. The school has an impressive student loan default rate. It’s only 1.7%, which is much lower than the national rate of 10.1%.
Out of the 12 schools in the Best Value Math and Stats Schools for a Bachelor’s that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Houston - Downtown landed the #2 spot on the list. Houston, Texas is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out bachelors’s math and stats degrees to 8 students in 2019-2020.

Out of the 12 schools in the Best Value Math and Stats Schools for a Bachelor’s that were part of this year’s ranking, University of South Alabama landed the #3 spot on the list. This fairly large school is located in Mobile, Alabama, and it awarded 18 bachelors’s math and stats degrees in 2019-2020.
