Louisiana State University and Agricultural & Mechanical College tops the 2021 list of our schools in Louisiana that are best for non-traditional engineering students. Louisiana State University is a fairly large public school located in the midsize city of Baton Rouge. Louisiana State University also made our Best Colleges for Engineering in Louisiana list, coming in at #1.
About 1.8% of Louisiana State University students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. Approximately 15,086 students take at least one class online at Louisiana State University. There are roughly 5,959 part time students in attendance at Louisiana State University.

Our rankings recognize Louisiana Tech University as the #2 school in this year's rankings. Louisiana Tech is a large public school located in the town of Ruston. Louisiana Tech also took the #2 spot in our Best Colleges for Engineering in Louisiana rankings.

Located in the small city of Lake Charles, McNeese is a public college with a moderately-sized student population. McNeese also took the #5 spot in our Best Colleges for Engineering in Louisiana rankings.
