In addition to our overall rankings, we also calculate our Best for Vets by degree level rankings. Below you'll find how UAGC did in those rankings.
How Many Veterans Go to UAGC?
Colleges with a large veteran population are better equipped to support and accommodate those who have had military experience.
According to the VA, there are 3,735 G.I. Bill® students at UAGC. There are 31,115 students enrolled at UAGC. This means that approximately 12.00% use the GI Bill® to help pay for tuition, fees, and other expenses. Putting that into perspective, the Student Veterans of America estimates that about three-four percent of all college students in America are veterans.
This number includes all chapters of the GI Bill®, e.g. Post-9/11, Montgomery GI Bill and Reserve Education Assistance Program. It also includes Veteran Readiness and Employment. This does not include active-duty military personnel who are attending the college via Tuition Assistance. Therefore, the potential total military population could be larger than this.
