In 2019-2020, 5,051 people earned their degree in general architecture, making the major the 111th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, general architecture graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $46,998 and had an average of $41,356 in loans still to pay off.

Across the New England region, there were 386 general architecture graduates with average earnings and debt of $51,307 and $45,609 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 83 general architecture graduates with average earnings and debt of $58,606 and $42,101 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value Architecture Schools for a Master’s in the New England Region” ranking looked at 5 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in general architecture. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great general architecture programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
