2022 Best Value Master’s Degree Colleges for Public Relations & Advertising in the Southwest Region

In 2019-2020, 20,229 people earned their degree in public relations and advertising, making the major the 53rd most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, public relations and advertising graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $36,513 and had an average of $25,130 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southwest region, there were 2,543 public relations and advertising graduates with average earnings and debt of $35,827 and $23,037 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 184 public relations and advertising graduates with average earnings and debt of $53,078 and $37,227 respectively.

The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great public relations and advertising programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

Located in Lubbock, Texas, this large public school awarded 54 degrees to qualified masters’s public relations students in 2019-2020.

Out of the 8 schools in the Best Value Public Relations Schools for a Master’s in the Southwest Region that were part of this year’s ranking, The University of Texas at Austin landed the #2 spot on the list. Located in Austin, Texas, this large public school awarded 38 diplomas to qualified masters’s public relations students in 2019-2020.
UT Austin also took the #2 spot in our “Best Public Relations & Advertising Master’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” ranking. Although you might pay more or less depending on your area of study, average graduate tuition and fees at UT Austin are $22,886.
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend University of Houston. The school came in at #3 for the Best Value Public Relations Schools for a Master’s in the Southwest Region. Houston, Texas is the setting for this large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out masters’s public relations degrees to 14 students in 2019-2020.
UH also took the #6 spot in our “Best Public Relations & Advertising Master’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region” ranking. Average graduate tuition and fees at UH are $18,689, but you may pay more or less depending on your major.

Texas A&M International University is a medium-sized public school situated in Laredo, Texas. It awarded 6 masters’s public relations degrees in 2019-2020.
