In 2019-2020, 53,722 people earned their degree in computer science, making the major the 19th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, computer science graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $66,561 and had an average of $23,565 in loans still to pay off.

Across Utah, there were 974 computer science graduates with average earnings and debt of $47,814 and $28,574 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 749 computer science graduates with average earnings and debt of $0 and $0 respectively.

Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent computer science programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.

Located in Salt Lake City, Utah, this large private not-for-profit school handed out 135 degrees to qualified bachelors’s compsci students in 2019-2020.
