Information Science is the 56th most popular major in the country with 18,368 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, information science graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $58,848 and had an average of $32,600 in loans still to pay off.

Across the New England region, there were 1,017 information science graduates with average earnings and debt of $64,663 and $26,051 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 436 information science graduates with average earnings and debt of $41,041 and $24,492 respectively.

The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great information science programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
