In 2019-2020, 1,415 people earned their degree in Germanic languages, making the major the 216th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, Germanic languages graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $34,200 and had an average of $22,114 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 207 Germanic languages graduates with average earnings and debt of $23,800 and $20,750 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 173 Germanic languages graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,277 and $25,415 respectively.
