Across Pennsylvania, there were 11,489 nursing graduates with average earnings and debt of $69,688 and $27,845 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 2,437 nursing graduates with average earnings and debt of $0 and $0 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Nursing Schools for an Associate in Pennsylvania” ranking, we looked at 24 colleges that offer a degree in nursing. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent nursing programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as the cost to attend the school after aid is awarded and overall quality of the nursing program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

The school came in at #1 for the Best Value Nursing Schools for an Associate in Pennsylvania. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out associates’s nursing degrees to 364 students in 2019-2020.
CCAC also made our “Best Nursing Associate Degree Schools in Pennsylvania” list, coming in at #3. It costs about $9,047 for pennsylvania associate degree nursing students per year to attend CCAC.
Out of the 24 schools in the Best Value Nursing Schools for an Associate in Pennsylvania that were part of this year’s ranking, Harrisburg Area Community College landed the #2 spot on the list. HACC is a public institution located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The school has a fairly large population, and it awarded 440 associates’s degrees in 2019-2020.

University of Pittsburgh - Bradford ranked #14 on this year’s Best Value Nursing Schools for an Associate in Pennsylvania list. University of Pittsburgh - Bradford is a small school located in Bradford, Pennsylvania that handed out 24 associates’s nursing degrees in 2019-2020.
