With 934,088 degrees handed out in 2019-2020, health professions is the 2nd most popular major in the United States. In 2017-2018, health professions graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $44,506 and had an average of $32,284 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 236,598 health professions graduates with average earnings and debt of $42,185 and $32,303 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 54,342 health professions graduates with average earnings and debt of $31,631 and $18,547 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value Health Professions Schools for an Associate in the Southeast Region” ranking looked at 378 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in health professions. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality health professions programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.
