2022 Best Value Applied Math Schools for a Doctorate in the New England Region

Applied Mathematics is the 83rd most popular major in the country with 10,462 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, applied mathematics graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $55,528 and had an average of $22,646 in loans still to pay off.

Across the New England region, there were 1,361 applied mathematics graduates with average earnings and debt of $76,433 and $20,083 respectively. At the doctor’s degree level specifically, there were 49 applied mathematics graduates with average earnings and debt of $73,889 and $109,372 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value Applied Math Schools for a Doctorate in the New England Region” ranking analyzed 4 colleges that offered a degree in applied mathematics. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent applied mathematics programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
