2022 Best Value Applied Math Schools for a Master’s in the New England Region

In 2019-2020, 10,462 people earned their degree in applied mathematics, making the major the 83rd most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, applied mathematics graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $55,528 and had an average of $22,646 in loans still to pay off.
Across the New England region, there were 1,361 applied mathematics graduates with average earnings and debt of $76,433 and $20,083 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 808 applied mathematics graduates with average earnings and debt of $58,606 and $42,101 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Applied Math Schools for a Master’s in the New England Region” ranking, we looked at 9 colleges that offer a degree in applied mathematics. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality applied mathematics programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.
