2022 Best Value Master’s Degree Colleges for Mathematics in the Middle Atlantic Region

In 2019-2020, 31,080 people earned their degree in mathematics, making the major the 32nd most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, mathematics graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $44,066 and had an average of $21,378 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Middle Atlantic region, there were 4,895 mathematics graduates with average earnings and debt of $44,381 and $23,320 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 411 mathematics graduates with average earnings and debt of $60,887 and $46,998 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Math Schools for a Master’s in the Middle Atlantic Region” ranking, we looked at 38 colleges that offer a degree in mathematics. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent mathematics programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
