2022 Best Value Theology Schools for a Doctorate in the New England Region

Theological & Ministerial Studies is the 55th most popular major in the country with 15,051 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, theological and ministerial studies graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $36,911 and had an average of $41,597 in loans still to pay off.

Across the New England region, there were 919 theological and ministerial studies graduates with average earnings and debt of $36,700 and $29,221 respectively. At the doctor’s degree level specifically, there were 96 theological and ministerial studies graduates with average earnings and debt of $73,889 and $109,372 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value Theology Schools for a Doctorate in the New England Region” ranking looked at 3 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in theological and ministerial studies. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great theological and ministerial studies programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
