Film, Video & Photographic Arts is the 64th most popular major in the country with 17,506 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, film, video and photographic arts graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $22,714 and had an average of $31,549 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southeast region, there were 3,431 film, video and photographic arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $20,659 and $28,774 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 325 film, video and photographic arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $53,950 and $43,286 respectively.

The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great film, video and photographic arts programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

This small school is located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and it awarded 20 masters’s film degrees in 2019-2020.
