2022 Best Value Doctor’s Degree Colleges for Fine & Studio Arts

In 2019-2020, 39,860 people earned their degree in fine and studio arts, making the major the 29th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, fine and studio arts graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $23,847 and had an average of $28,316 in loans still to pay off.
At the doctor’s degree level specifically, there were 197 fine and studio arts graduates with average earnings and debt of $72,680 and $116,043 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Fine Arts Schools for a Doctorate” ranking, we looked at 50 colleges that offer a degree in fine and studio arts. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent fine and studio arts programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
