When pursuing a degree in today’s world, students have many different options to choose from. College Factual has developed its “Best Value Other Education Schools” ranking as one item you can use to help make this decision.
In 2020-2021, 4,858 people earned their degree in other education, making the major the 142nd most popular in the United States. In 2019-2020, other education graduates who were awarded their degree in 2017-2019, earned an average of $47,827 and had an average of $25,433 in loans still to pay off.
For this year’s “Best Value Other Education Schools” ranking, we looked at 139 colleges that offer a degree in other education. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality other education programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.
Some of the factors we look at when determining these rankings are overall quality of the other education program at the school and the cost of the school after aid is awarded among other things. For more information, check out our ranking methodology.

Top 25 Best Value Colleges for Other Education
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. It ranked #1 on our 2023 Best Value Other Education Schools list. LECOM is located in Erie, Pennsylvania and, has a small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 34 ’s other education degrees to qualified students.
LECOM did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #6 on our “Best Other Education Schools” list.
The undergrad student loan default rate at the school is 0.7%, which is quite low when compared to the national default rate of 10.1%. The impressive undergraduate student-to-faculty ratio of 1 to 1 means that students may have more opportunities to work more closely with their professors than they would at other schools.

Out of the 139 schools in the Best Value Other Education Schools that were part of this year’s ranking, Stevenson University landed the #2 spot on the list. This small school is located in Stevenson, Maryland, and it awarded 22 ’s other education degrees in 2020-2021.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Minnesota - Duluth. It ranked #3 on our 2023 Best Value Other Education Schools list. Located in Duluth, Minnesota, this medium-sized public school awarded 75 degrees to qualified ’s other education students in 2020-2021.
