Located in the remote town of Natchitoches, NSU is a public college with a moderately-sized student population. NSU not only placed well in our non-traditional rankings. It is also #4 on our Best Colleges for Education in Louisiana list.
About 3.8% of NSU students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. 5,928 of NSU students are exclusively distance learners. 4,844 of NSU students are attending part time.

University of Louisiana at Lafayette landed the #2 spot in our 2021 best education schools for non-traditional students. UL Lafayette is a large public school located in the city of Lafayette. UL Lafayette also made our Best Colleges for Education in Louisiana list, coming in at #3.
About 2.8% of UL Lafayette students default on their loans in three years, which is lower than average. Approximately 4,441 students take at least one class online at UL Lafayette. 4,259 of UL Lafayette students are attending part time.
