2022 Best Value Doctor’s Degree Colleges for Finance

With 52,394 degrees handed out in 2019-2020, finance is the 10th most popular major in the United States.
At the doctor’s degree level specifically, there were 29 finance graduates with average earnings and debt of $72,680 and $116,043 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value Finance Schools for a Doctorate” ranking, we looked at 11 colleges that offer a degree in finance. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great finance programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
Some of the factors we look at when determining these rankings are overall quality of the finance program at the school and the cost of the school after aid is awarded among other things. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

Top 11 Best Value Doctor’s Degree Colleges for Finance
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Capella University. It ranked #1 on our 2022 Best Value Finance Schools for a Doctorate list. This large school is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and it awarded 7 doctorate’s finance degrees in 2019-2020.
Capella University did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #6 on our “Best Finance Doctor’s Degree Schools” list. Although you might pay more or less depending on your area of study, average graduate tuition and fees at Capella University are $14,767.
You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around if you attend Anderson University Indiana. The school came in at #2 for the Best Value Finance Schools for a Doctorate. Anderson University Indiana is a small private not-for-profit school situated in Anderson, Indiana. It awarded 1 doctorate’s finance degrees in 2019-2020.

Out of the 11 schools in the Best Value Finance Schools for a Doctorate that were part of this year’s ranking, Boston College landed the #3 spot on the list. Boston College is a private not-for-profit institution located in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. The school has a fairly large population, and it awarded 2 doctorate’s degrees in 2019-2020.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend The University of Texas at San Antonio. It ranked #4 on our 2022 Best Value Finance Schools for a Doctorate list.
