In 2019-2020, 55,749 people earned their degree in general business/commerce, making the major the 13th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, general business/commerce graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $40,821 and had an average of $25,596 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southeast region, there were 12,085 general business/commerce graduates with average earnings and debt of $41,553 and $27,503 respectively. At the doctor’s degree level specifically, there were 51 general business/commerce graduates with average earnings and debt of $71,978 and $116,300 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value General Business Schools for a Doctorate in the Southeast Region For Those Getting Aid” ranking analyzed 8 colleges that offered a degree in general business/commerce. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent general business/commerce programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
