In 2018-2019, 25,818 people earned their bachelor's in general business/commerce, making the major the #22 most popular in the United States.
This year's Best General Business/Commerce Colleges for Veterans in the United States ranking analyzed 175 colleges that offered a bachelor's degree in general business. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality general business/commerce programs as well as strong veteran support.
To come up with these rankings, we looked at factors such as veteran satisfaction, veteran affordability, and overall quality of the general business/commerce program at the school. Check out our ranking methodology for more information.

Top 25 Most Veteran Friendly General Business/Commerce Schools
Massachusetts Institute of Technology earned the #1 spot in our 2021 rankings. MIT is a large private not-for-profit school located in the medium-sized city of Cambridge. MIT did well in our major quality rankings, too. It placed #1 on our Best Colleges for General Business/Commerce in the United States list.
Of the 11,574 students enrolled at MIT, 119 were GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 87 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients. The average tuition and fees award for these recipients was $20,495. During this same period, 43 students received scholarships through the Yellow Ribbon Program. Eligible students may be able to receive credit for their military training.

The #2 spot in this year's ranking belongs to Indiana University - Bloomington. IU Bloomington is a very large public school located in the small city of Bloomington. IU Bloomington also made our Best Colleges for General Business/Commerce in the United States list, coming in at #2.
Among the 43,503 students enrolled at IU Bloomington, 626 are GI Bill® students, according to our most recent data. Out of that number, 389 were Post-9/11 GI Bill® recipients.
