2022 Best Value IT Schools for an Associate in the Southeast Region
Students have lots of options to chooose from today when trying to decide which college to attend. Our “Best Value IT Schools for an Associate in the Southeast Region” ranking is part of that endeavor.
In 2019-2020, 28,174 people earned their degree in information technology, making the major the 37th most popular in the United States.
Across the Southeast region, there were 11,793 information technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $0 and $0 respectively. At the associate degree level specifically, there were 2,386 information technology graduates with average earnings and debt of $31,631 and $18,547 respectively.
For this year’s “Best Value IT Schools for an Associate in the Southeast Region” ranking, we looked at 43 colleges that offer a degree in information technology. This ranking identifies schools with high-quality information technology programs that also have a lower cost than schools of similar quality.
Some of the factors we look at when determining these rankings are overall quality of the information technology program at the school and the cost of the school after aid is awarded among other things. See our ranking methodology to learn more.

The school came in at #5 for the Best Value IT Schools for an Associate in the Southeast Region. FTCC is a fairly large public school situated in Fayetteville, North Carolina. It awarded 65 associates’s IT degrees in 2019-2020.

Georgia Military College came in at #6 in this year’s edition of the Best Value IT Schools for an Associate in the Southeast Region ranking. This medium-sized school is located in Milledgeville, Georgia, and it awarded 36 associates’s IT degrees in 2019-2020.

Florida State College at Jacksonville came in at #9 in this year’s edition of the Best Value IT Schools for an Associate in the Southeast Region ranking. Located in Jacksonville, Florida, this large public school awarded 39 diplomas to qualified associates’s IT students in 2019-2020.
