2022 Best Value IS Schools for a Doctorate in the Far Western US Region

In 2019-2020, 18,368 people earned their degree in information science, making the major the 56th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, information science graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $58,848 and had an average of $32,600 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Far Western US region, there were 661 information science graduates with average earnings and debt of $85,900 and $41,259 respectively. At the doctor’s degree level specifically, there were 31 information science graduates with average earnings and debt of $72,342 and $136,270 respectively.

Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent information science programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
