2022 Best Value Master’s Degree Colleges for Library & Information Science in the New England Region

In 2017-2018, library and information science graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $41,496 and had an average of $36,654 in loans still to pay off.

Across the New England region, there were 355 library and information science graduates with average earnings and debt of $42,833 and $33,434 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 318 library and information science graduates with average earnings and debt of $58,606 and $42,101 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value Library Science Schools for a Master’s in the New England Region” ranking looked at 2 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in library and information science. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great library and information science programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

This medium-sized school is located in Boston, Massachusetts, and it awarded 272 masters’s library science degrees in 2019-2020.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Rhode Island. It ranked #2 on our 2022 Best Value Library Science Schools for a Master’s in the New England Region list. Kingston, Rhode Island is the setting for this fairly large institution of higher learning. The public school handed out masters’s library science degrees to 33 students in 2019-2020.
