2022 Best Value Chemistry Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Great Lakes Region

Chemistry is the 44th most popular major in the country with 21,951 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, chemistry graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $38,704 and had an average of $22,279 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Great Lakes region, there were 3,440 chemistry graduates with average earnings and debt of $43,726 and $23,008 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 2,325 chemistry graduates with average earnings and debt of $39,075 and $25,381 respectively.

The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great chemistry programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.
