General Psychology is one of the most popular majors in the nation, ranking 4th of all the majors we analyze. In 2019-2020, 134,326 degrees were awarded to students with this major. In 2017-2018, general psychology graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $28,999 and had an average of $26,247 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Great Lakes region, there were 14,346 general psychology graduates with average earnings and debt of $28,203 and $26,209 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 530 general psychology graduates with average earnings and debt of $57,039 and $42,488 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value Psychology Schools for a Master’s in the Great Lakes Region For Those Making $0-$30k” ranking looked at 37 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in general psychology. Not only do the schools that top this list have excellent general psychology programs, but they also cost less that schools of similar quality.
