Animal Science is the 96th most popular major in the country with 8,086 degrees awarded in 2019-2020. In 2017-2018, animal science graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $28,818 and had an average of $20,002 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southwest region, there were 1,221 animal science graduates with average earnings and debt of $29,670 and $19,918 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 1,069 animal science graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,896 and $23,899 respectively.

This fairly large school is located in Stephenville, Texas, and it awarded 110 bachelors’s animal science degrees in 2019-2020.

Out of the 14 schools in the Best Value Animal Science Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Southwest Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Oklahoma State University - Main Campus landed the #3 spot on the list. OSU is a large public school situated in Stillwater, Oklahoma. It awarded 217 bachelors’s animal science degrees in 2019-2020.
