In 2019-2020, 55,749 people earned their degree in general business/commerce, making the major the 13th most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, general business/commerce graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $40,821 and had an average of $25,596 in loans still to pay off.
Across the Southeast region, there were 12,085 general business/commerce graduates with average earnings and debt of $41,553 and $27,503 respectively. At the master’s degree level specifically, there were 2,560 general business/commerce graduates with average earnings and debt of $53,950 and $43,286 respectively.
This year’s “Best Value General Business Schools for a Master’s in the Southeast Region For Those Making $30-$48k” ranking looked at 33 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in general business/commerce. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great general business/commerce programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

University of Central Florida is a large public school situated in Orlando, Florida. It awarded 259 masters’s general business degrees in 2019-2020.

Out of the 33 schools in the Best Value General Business Schools for a Master’s in the Southeast Region For Those Making $30-$48k that were part of this year’s ranking, University of South Florida - Main Campus landed the #3 spot on the list. This large school is located in Tampa, Florida, and it awarded 33 masters’s general business degrees in 2019-2020.
