In 2019-2020, 26,616 people earned their degree in human resource management, making the major the 43rd most popular in the United States. In 2017-2018, human resource management graduates who were awarded their degree in 2015-2017, earned an average of $46,242 and had an average of $34,825 in loans still to pay off.

Across the Southwest region, there were 3,740 human resource management graduates with average earnings and debt of $44,989 and $33,994 respectively. At the bachelor’s degree level specifically, there were 1,380 human resource management graduates with average earnings and debt of $38,896 and $23,899 respectively.

This year’s “Best Value HR Schools for a Bachelor’s in the Southwest Region For Those Getting Aid” ranking looked at 27 colleges that offer degrees in a bachelor’s in human resource management. The schools that top this list are recognized because they have great human resource management programs and cost less that schools of similar quality.

When determining these rankings, we looked at things such as overall quality of the human resource management program at the school and the cost to attend the school once aid has been awarded. For more information, check out our ranking methodology.
